Fransiska is currently tutoring at the Louis Joel Community Centre. Her class runs on Tuesday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The students bring in something they would like to paint, and I advise them on composition, blocking in, colour mixing, creating depth in a painting, and using hard edges for important elements and softer edges for the supporting elements of a painting. It also helps create depth to have edges disappear into the background.
Painting is a craft which often takes time to develop, and with much practice comes improvement. I hope I can inspire others to explore the wonder of being creative, and that feeling of joy you get each time you discover something new.
