5X7 Art Prize Call for Artists

HBAS is calling Artists from Melbourne’s Western Region: you are invited to take part in the 5X7 Art Prize 2026! 

Registry to enter the 12th annual 5X7 Art Prize is by attending in person at Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre, 5 Sargood St, Altona 3018.

There are two Registration Sessions:

• Saturday 31th January @ 10am-12pm (noon) or • Wednesday 4th February @ 7pm -9 pm. 

Some important information:

  • you must reside in the Western Region of Melbourne to enter: eligible municipalities are Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham. 

  • Each artist can register for up to 3 entries at $5 each.

  • You will be supplied with a 5” x 7” canvas panel on which to create your artwork (maximum 3 entries per artist)

  • Exhibition dates: 11th to 30th April

  • The theme for 2026 is: NOSTALGIA
